Want a fixed full length sidebar? here’s how!

step 1, look for the sidebar’s div/css, like #sidebar.

and once you find it look for the height in the sidebar. for ex:

height: 300px;

width: 300px;

padding: 5px;

position: fixed;

top: 30px;

left: 20px;

}

step 2, change the height into 100%, so it’ll look like this:

height: 100%;

width: 300px;

padding: 5px;

today i’m going to show you how to make the trippy 3d effect!

open up photoshop, let’s say the document will be 900x140

and now let’s make the color black or anything you like, click on edit > fill or shift+f5 on a mac idk on windows ._.

and change it to black or if you want it a custom color click the drop down menu and click on color, but for now let’s make it black (:

and now let’s write a simple text, i’m using consolas as a font in the size 60pt

now duplicate the layer by going to layer > duplicate layer and just click ok (you must be on the text layer)

now go on the duplicated layer (welcome to my blog copy) and change the text color to red. i’m using #f74141 and now you have that on your screen.

now go and click the opacity and lower it down, this will be the 3d effect that will be going around. i’d prefer turning it to around 40-70%

now make the duplicated layer go in the bottom of the original layer. just drag the duplicated layer under the original layer, and you will have:

now use the move tool (v for shortcut) and just use your keyboard arrows and move it a little to the right side (if you want the animation to start from right to left) or you want to move it to the left side if you want the animation to start from the left to right. 

let’s just make it from the right. i’m so boring. 

and now if you move it more there’s like more 3d-ish effect there, and now

go on the bottom where it says timeline, click video timeline (if you don’t have it you can go to window > timeline)

create video timeline, and click on the boxes on the bottom left, and that should make your video timeline look much simpler to understand like:

now click on the 5 seconds thingy and change it to 0.2 secs the smaller the number the faster the animation. but you can change it to anything you like.

now after that just right away duplicate the frame. HOW?! click on that paper icon near the trash can in the timeline, it looks like:

and you see it duplicates the layer:

and on that second frame. (focus on your work now) by still using the move tool (v) move the layer once to the left (if you want your animation right-left, vise versa if you want it from left-right).

and now duplicate the layer but everytime you duplicate it you must move the red duplicated text layer to the left one time and one time means one pixel. until the red goes to the left and you satisfied.

after you are done change the looping options to forever

you can find it near the play button.

exporting it. to export it you need to go to file > save for web and devices

and a little BIG window shall pop out, just change the 2nd drop down box into ‘GIF’ and leave everything untouched. DON’T TOUCH IT IF YOU DON’T WANT YOUR RESULT TO FAIL! and just click save

and here’s my finished product! feel free to use it but credit me!!

Okay so probably maybe SOME of you guys have heard of people asking you to click on their ads and stay there for like around 2 minutes.

Well some people are getting paid to do this. So every visitor who clicks on their ad, the company will pay them. So this is handy especially if you have a lot of followers.

This could come in handy earning yourself some money, this could maybe earn you 2-5 dollars per day, so means in a month, you get like 2x30=$60!

But make sure you read this first:

• You will need a lot of visitors in your page. You’ll probably get rejected if you don’t have a lot of visitors in your page. You can find tips on gaining followers here.
• Get a nice tumblr theme. don’t make your blog super messy, make it simple and eye-catching.
• Don’t message people too much. don’t annoy people just to tell them to click on your ads please, not everyone would do it and they get annoyed easily.

Okay so the ad networks to begin with is

• Google Adsense ; This is everyone’s favorite.  Google Ad Network for publishers will be the first and not so easy to replace Ads.
• Adbrite ; In case you get rejected by Google (follow the tips above so you can avoid this) Adbrite will always welcome your site here.  It’s highly likely you will need 4 times the amount of visitors to make the same amount of money that with Adsense.
• Amazon ; If you do products or stuff review, this network is for you.  Since you can place affiliate links in your posts, you can get a chunk of the purchase if there’s a succesful item sold after the click.
• Friend finder ; I guess that according to the user type in Tumblr, Friend Finder could be a huge money maker.

These are the Ad Companies to begin with.  Of course there are many affiliate programs outthere that you might find suitable for your Tumblr. Bu all in all this is more than enough if you just start to make money with Tumblr.

Font face means interpreting fonts into web fonts just by using a css code and a direct link for the font.

all you need is a font you need (with direct link, if you don’t know how proceed to step 1)

step 1 (if you have the font with the direct link or url, proceed to step 2)

okay for the font i’m going to use DigitalLove.ttf

! make sure you have the font you need installed in your computer11!!1!

go upload the font in here or anything that accepts any file and gives you the url

choose the file and click upload file, the url will appear in the bottom, (https://static.tumblr.com/x1wzx4n/bPRn40yc5/digitallove.ttf)

step 2

the css code is needed for this tutorial

go to customize > go to your css (<style>)

and just between <style> and </style>

paste this code:

@font-face{
font-family: 'FONT NAME';
src: url('DIRECT URL');
}

explanation:

bolded - replace the FONT NAME with any name you wanna cal your font, like Digital Love, but when you use it the caps or quotation marks doesn’t matter actually. (if you wanna use digital love you will need to type in digital love if you are going to use it)

italized - replace DIRECT URL with the direct link/url you have for the font. it’s to tell where they will refer to if you use the font family.

step 3

how to use it? 

go in your css, for example you wanna change your blog title, look for the css code for the blogtitle, like .blogtitle (if that’s what they called it) and look for font-family, and the contents like ex. 

.blogtitle{
font-family: georgia;
}

Just replace georgia with the font-family you used in step 2 :)
