Welcome to tumblrtutoriial! a place where we share our resources, tutorials and themes! this blog was created by jess on july 2nd, 2011. feel free to ask us a question if you don't understand something! please also read our faq before asking us (:

This tutorial will enable you to image map a premade image to use on your blog or website for navigation purposes. No program is required for this portion (but you do need a program like Photostop or GIMP to actually make the image you’ll be image mapping.)

1. Upload the image you need to image map on a website like Photobucket or Tinypic. Copy the image URL. I’m going to be using this image for the tutorial:
Photobucket

2. Go to this website and paste your image’s URL where it says “Image URL”. Then click “Load Image.”

3. Click “New Link,” and you should see a little transparent white box appear with the words “hotspot 1.” Drag the arrow to move and resize the box so that it fits perfectly over the first spot you want to make into a link - for me, it is the word “HOME.” Then type in the link that you want this image to be redirected to.
Photobucket

4. Continue this process until you’re done, then click “Make Code” at the bottom. Copy the generated code & you’re done!
